What is HighLevel, and is it legit?
Is GoHighLevel legit?
Yes, HighLevel is a real, established software company. Its products are run by HighLevel LLC, a subsidiary of GoHighLevel Inc., based in Dallas, Texas. Whether it is right for you is a separate question; see the comparisons and pricing pages.
Is GoHighLevel a CRM or a funnel builder?
Both, and more. It combines a CRM, a website and funnel builder, email and SMS marketing, booking calendars, automation, payments and courses in one platform.
Does GoHighLevel have a mobile app?
Yes. HighLevel lists its mobile app among the core features on every plan, so you can reply to messages and manage contacts from your phone.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Domain management is a listed core feature, and you can connect your own domain to pages and websites you build in HighLevel.
What does HighLevel cost?
What is the cheapest GoHighLevel plan?
Starter at $97/month, or $970/year if you pay yearly, per HighLevel's pricing page. Source: HighLevel pricing page · last verified Oct 20, 2026
Is there a free trial?
Yes: 14 days on each plan via the standard pricing page, or 30 days plus a free live Bootcamp class via HighLevel's Bootcamp page. There is no free plan, and billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.
Are there hidden costs?
They are not hidden, but they are easy to miss: texts, calls, email sending and some AI features are billed on top of the plan as you use them, and several add-ons are charged per sub-account.
Do you offer a coupon or discount?
No. I don’t offer coupons, discount codes or sign-up bonuses. Any trial or promotion I mention, including the 30-day Bootcamp trial, is HighLevel's own offer.
How do I get started?
Do I need technical skills?
No coding is needed. You do need patience for setup steps like connecting a domain, authenticating email and registering for US business texting (A2P 10DLC).
What should I set up first?
Your business profile, contacts, one calendar, the conversations inbox and one lead form. The beginner’s guide explains each step.
Should I hire someone to set it up?
Not at first. Try the free onboarding help and set up one simple use case yourself so you understand how it works. If you later want a complex setup, HighLevel sells a one-time advanced setup service, and many freelancers offer help too; ask to see exactly what they will build.
Can I cancel anytime?
You can cancel during the trial to avoid being billed. For cancellation after that, check the current terms in your account and HighLevel’s help center, since terms can change.
Who runs this site, and how is it paid for?
Are you HighLevel?
No. LevelBlueprints is an independent guide by Dave Espino. I am not employed by, endorsed by or speaking for HighLevel.
How do you make money?
If you buy HighLevel through my link, HighLevel pays me a commission (currently 40% recurring under its affiliate agreement). It doesn't change your price.
Have you tested HighLevel in depth?
No, and I won’t pretend otherwise. I tried it and found it complicated, which is why this site focuses on clear explanations sourced from HighLevel’s official pages rather than a hands-on review.
