GoHighLevel features, explained in plain English
HighLevel’s pricing page lists 24 core features on every plan: a CRM with pipelines, a shared inbox, booking calendars, forms, a website and funnel builder, email and text marketing, workflow automation, payments, courses, communities and AI assistants. A beginner only needs four or five of them in the first week.

Every feature below comes from the list on HighLevel’s official pricing page (Source: HighLevel pricing page · last verified Oct 20, 2026). The “Need it on day one?” column is my opinion for a beginner running one business, not HighLevel’s. Detailed guides for the biggest features are on the way; until then, each line tells you enough to decide whether to care.
Which features are the everyday basics?

Workflows are where HighLevel saves the most time once you’re past the basics. A good first workflow: when someone books, send a confirmation, then a reminder the day before. Note that a few advanced workflow actions are billed per run ($0.01 per execution (verified Oct 20, 2026)); most standard steps aren’t.

Learn the basics before switching AI on, so you can check what it says on your behalf.

Which features cost extra?
The features above are included in the plan, but using some of them costs money: sending emails and texts, making calls, and AI usage. Some extras are optional add-ons, such as WhatsApp ($10/month (verified Oct 20, 2026) per sub-account) and the SEO tool ($79/month (verified Oct 20, 2026) per sub-account). The pricing page lists them all.
What features do the higher plans add?
Not more marketing tools. Unlimited adds unlimited sub-accounts, rebill phone & email (no markup), basic api access. Agency Pro adds saas mode, automated sub-account creation, rebill phone & email with markup, user/agent reporting, advanced api access. Those matter to agencies, not to a single business. Compare them in Starter vs Unlimited.
